VX2-12 Series Upper Disconnect & Upper Circuit Breaker Unit

The VX2-12 series upper disconnect & upper earthing load switch unit is a core built-in switch module for 12kV eco-gas insulated ring main units (RMUs). It integrates a disconnect switch, load switch and earthing switch in one assembly, fully meeting operating requirements including load current making/breaking, electrical isolation and maintenance earthing for distribution lines.

   With an upper disconnect + upper earthing layout, the highly integrated structure greatly reduces cabinet depth, optimizes internal space of the RMU and facilitates wiring and subsequent maintenance.
2. Reliable Insulation & Current Carrying Performance
   High-strength red insulating shields are adopted for phase-to-phase and earth insulation. Precision-machined conductive components ensure stable contact between moving and fixed contacts, delivering excellent rated and short-time withstand current performance for urban and industrial power distribution networks.
3. Safe Mechanical Interlock Protection
   Standard mechanical interlock logic is built in: the disconnect and earthing switches cannot be operated when the load switch is closed; the load switch is locked against closing if the earthing switch is engaged. Physical interlocks eliminate maloperation and protect maintenance staff.
4. Compatible with Eco-Gas RMUs
   SF₆-free design, compatible with eco-friendly insulating media such as dry air and nitrogen. It aligns with low-carbon upgrading trends of power grids and reduces maintenance and waste gas treatment costs.
5. Easy Assembly & Wide Compatibility
   Standard mounting holes support modular pre-installation inside ring main units. Manual or motorized operating mechanisms are optional, compatible with mainstream domestic cabinet types.
