XGN15-12 High Voltage AC Metal-Enclosed Ring Main Switchgear: Incoming & Transformer Cabinet Solution
The XGN15-12 is a fixed-type, air-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear designed for 3-phase AC 50Hz, 12kV power distribution systems. In its standard configuration, it consists of two core units:
1. Incoming Cabinet: Responsible for power feed-in, main circuit protection, and switching operations.
2. Transformer Cabinet: Dedicated to protecting and distributing power to the transformer and downstream loads.
This dual-cabinet setup provides a complete, reliable solution for loop network control and power distribution in both public and industrial grids.
- Dual-Cabinet Architecture: The incoming cabinet handles high-voltage power feed-in and protection, while the transformer cabinet manages load-side distribution, creating a clear, efficient power path.
- Robust Metal-Enclosed Housing: All live parts are enclosed in a grounded metal cabinet, offering IP-rated protection against environmental factors and containing internal arcs to safeguard personnel and adjacent equipment.
- Air-Insulated, Fixed-Type Design: Eliminates complex moving parts and SF₆ gas systems, reducing mechanical failure risks and maintenance requirements.
- Standardized Components: Uses widely adopted, interchangeable parts for easy sourcing of spares and minimal downtime.
- Streamlined Power Distribution: The integrated incoming and transformer cabinets simplify the power system layout, reducing installation complexity.
- High Operational Safety: Comprehensive mechanical interlocks prevent critical errors, such as operating the earthing switch under load or opening the cabinet door with live components.
- Low Total Cost of Ownership: Mature air-insulated technology, low maintenance needs, and long service life make it a cost-effective choice for large-scale deployments.
- Flexible Configuration: Supports customization of protection schemes, metering functions, and control interfaces to meet diverse project requirements.
